URGENT: Without Action, Same-Sex Marriage Laws Will Impact You

The same-sex marriage bill and accompanying “supportive schools” bill currently in our legislature’s hands will silence and punish those who believe marriage is a holy covenant between a man and a woman. Our freedom of religion and speech are at risk, as well as our professional and parental rights. For example, Christian facilities and businesses can be forced to host gay weddings; licensed professionals like doctors, lawyers, and therapists risk losing their professional licenses for refusing services like marriage counseling to gay couples; and employees can be fired for opposing gay marriage on their personal Facebook pages and twitter accounts.

Most alarming, however, is the forced “training” both public and private grade school kids will endure on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression. All schools, including private schools, will be forced by the government to actively “support” students’ sexual orientation and gender identity. While proponents of these bills try to make the public believe these bills are only intended to confer “marriage rights” to a small number of Minnesotans, the reality is that they will strip the majority of Minnesotans of their rights in exchange.

A lawyer in our congregation has prepared an important document for our information and immediate action. I strongly urge you to read it here and take time to click on the links. They are shocking! If you think this email is overly dramatic, you need only click on the links in this document and read the articles to show how Christianity is under attack in the places where gay marriage has been legalized.

Call and/or email your MN House and MN Senate representatives today (use your personal phones and email accounts), and every week, to tell them your district did not vote for them to legalize gay marriage or pass the “supportive schools” bill. Remind them that their reelection depends on their representing their constituents, the majority of whom do not want gay marriage or the supportive schools bill. 1. Real Christian says :

“For example, Christian facilities and businesses can be forced to host gay weddings”
What self respecting gay couple would want to be married in your “church”??
Lol. Get over yourselves. Gay people are here, we exist, we are not going anywhere.
