Do You Know How Much God Loves You?

The second key to dealing with fear is that you can’t love somebody else until you have a revelation of how much God loves you. First John 4:16–17 says:

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Our ability to love others is made perfect only when we understand and believe how much God loves us personally. You can’t give what you don’t have.

The greatest obstacle to knowing how much God loves you is often the fact that you know yourself so well. You know your downfalls and the things that make you feel unlovable. With that background of knowledge, it can seem difficult to believe that God can really love you all that much.

God sees us through the shed blood of Jesus, righteous and holy. We have to ask for a revelation of this truth. We have to believe that God loves us enough to have sent Jesus if we were the only person on this earth because it’s not His will that any should perish.

Parents, do you love your children? What would you do for your children? You would do anything for them, right? You would give your children everything you could to help them succeed in life. Matthew 7:11 says, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”

God loves you in a way that can’t be described. It doesn’t matter if you’re living your life wrong, He still loves you unconditionally. Just as parents don’t quit loving their children when they do something wrong, they try to help them, correct them, and get them back on track, but you still love them just as much. God is the same way. His love is always there.

When you realize how much God, the Creator of this universe, loves you, then you can quit worrying about your deal because you know He’s going to take care of you. Your needs are met supernaturally by your Father in heaven. One of the evidences will be that you’re not going to worry about your situation and can, instead, focus on other people and become attentive to their needs.

So understanding how much God loves you eliminates fear from your life and frees you to love other people.

What else helps us get rid of fear in our lives? I’ll talk about another key in my next blog post.

This is so awesome and so is God’s timing! The Lord has put it on my heart to study, meditate and pray about His love for me. Everyday He brings scriptures and teachings that by His grace unveil His unfailing love. I am convinced that if I do not have a revelation of God’s love it will affect every area of my life, including but not limited to my relationship with God, how I view myself, my relationship with others, how I make decisions, my prayer life, my calling and how I will run and finish my race. Thank you Pastor Mac for continually teaching and preaching God’s love.

There is a time for every season in my Life, And I am literally hanging on to every verse or thought of God! He is so needed in times and challenges I am facing, Things are at a critical point that this nation is facing; that there is no other answer than give this to our father who loves us so unconditional and that he is in control no matter how it looks and for me not to lean on my own understanding.
