What’s Your Pattern?
Everywhere you look, you will find patterns. Patterns shape our lives and carry the power to produce something positive or negative depending upon the nature of the pattern. Consider how a consistent pattern of exercise will result in a healthier body; a pattern of eating junk food will lead to health problems.
God Himself works in patterns. There is a biblical pattern for healthy relationships, financial increase, parenting, and the realization of God’s plan for your life. Read More…
Frame Your World With God’s Word
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. –Hebrews 11:3
Take a moment to strengthen your faith by speaking out these Bible-based truths about the promises God has made available to you!
God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I purpose no longer to frame my world on my words spoken often in response to circumstance or the way I feel; I purpose to frame my world on the basis of Your Word.
Thank You that Your Word says…
- I have been healed by the stripes of Jesus (1 Peter 2:24).
- You are my Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals me (Exodus 15:26).
- You don’t make me sick or leave me alone in my infirmities; You heal me. You bless my bread and my water and take sickness from the midst of me (Exodus 23:25).
- You sent Your Word to heal me (Psalm 107:20).

Generate Momentum Toward His Will
If you love the Lord, God has prepared some wonderful things for you that eye hasn’t seen and ear hasn’t heard, and these are the things God wants you to generate momentum toward in your life. Look at 1 Corinthians 2:9–10.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (KJV)
The Bible is the will of God for all believers of all ages. It reveals His general will for us, but everybody is a unique creation and God also has a unique plan for you as an individual. The specifics of His will—where to live, your ministry and vocational pursuits, who to marry, etc.—are revealed to you by the Holy Spirit. Both His general and specific will are things we want to build momentum toward in our lives. Read More…
Are the Miracles in the Bible Real?
Did you know that the walls falling down in Jericho is a historically verifiable truth? This isn’t some kind of fantasy conjured up by religionists over the years. Archaeologists discovered that in 1456 B.C. a catastrophic event hit the city of Jericho and the city walls came down.
Now, archaeologists call this “event” an earthquake, but that makes it no less of a miracle. Read More…
Faith vs. Expectation
Did you know that faith and expectation are not the same thing? I’ve had people say, “Well, if you believe, surely you expect,” but that’s not true. Although they are closely linked, faith and expectation are distinctly different. Read More…
Learning From Jesus’ Miracles
This past weekend at Living Word, we picked up a sermon series that we started last summer entitled Faith and Healing. In it, we are walking through the 19 healings Jesus performed that were written about in the four gospels. The purpose of these messages is to learn the principles that govern the process of healing—and receiving anything in faith from God—and apply them to our own lives. Read More…
How Do You Know When You Are in Faith?
A lot of people think they are in faith when they pray, but nothing happens. Since we know the sending end has already been taken care of, let’s look at some potential problems on the receiving end. Read More…
